How do I upscale an image?

How do I increase the resolution of an image?

Resolution is the number of pixels. Enlarge the image to more pixels here, then check it with the Image DPI Checker. Changing the DPI value alone only changes print size, not the pixels.

Will enlarging make my image blurry?

Some softness is normal at big jumps, because new pixels have to be filled in. A 2x enlargement looks cleaner than 5x. Start from the sharpest original you have.

Can I enlarge an image without losing quality?

No tool can add detail that was never captured. Start with a large, sharp, uncompressed file and enlarge only as much as you need for the cleanest result.

What size is a 4K image?

3840 x 2160 pixels at 16:9. To reach it here, your original should be at least 768 x 432 pixels, since the limit is 500%.

What's the difference between resizing and enlarging?
